Dr Lei Wang graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in 1989, following five years of education and clinical training in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine.

 

Leveraging on her clinical and theoretical knowledge, she then progressed into a senior clinical and lecturing role at BUCM, specialising in the practice and teaching of acupuncture and TCM. During her time at BUCM, she also obtained a Masters degree in Acupuncture.

In 2003, Lei took on the role of Acupuncturist and TCM doctor at the Chinese Medical Centre in Gloucester, and has continued to practice acupuncture and TCM to this day. Aside from working in the clinic, Lei has also lectured on TCM-related topics at various colleges and charities, including the ASHA Centre, Acupuncture Foundation (Dublin), National Eczema Society (Cheltenham), Gloucestershire Chinese Women's Guild and Gloucester Chinese Resource Centre.

Lei is a registered acupuncturist with Gloucester City Council and a member of ATCM (The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture UK), which is recognised as one of the leading self-regulatory bodies that govern the practice of TCM in the UK. ATCM are a member of the British Acupuncture Federation, the UK's first umbrella organisation of leading professional acupuncture associations in the UK.
